A note on the ingredients in your honey butter
Because there are only a few ingredients in this recipe, ingredient quality is very important. Get the highest quality, preferably raw honey (because it’s better for us) that you can. You can even experiment with flavored honey to add another layer of complexity to your honey butter.
The same goes for the butter. You will definitely taste the difference if you skimp on it, so get the best butter you can. Check out some of our favorite brands of butter to use for biscuits and other recipes in general.
The powdered sugar may seem unnecessary and redundant as another sweetener, but it actually makes the butter a bit thicker and gives it a nice spreading consistency.
Using sea salt just takes the butter up a notch. Feel free to use other high-quality, but plain salts like Himalayan pink salt or kosher salt.
